This book is about the battle of Shoreham By Sea which began in 1994 with the start of the live export trade from that port.
Part one of this book deals with the battle between the authorities and the protesters over the issue of live exports with graphic descriptions of confrontations between police and campaigners in the midst of the convoys of trucks which were transporting long-suffering animals to their torturous deaths.
Eventually the protestors won the day and this vile trade ceased from this once peaceful port on the Sussex coast.
Part two deals with the later battle for justice, not on the streets this time but in the courts of this land, by a number of those protesters who became victims of a legal system which was manipulated and twisted by those in authority in order to penalise and punish those who dared stand up to them.
It was only because of the assistance and perseverance by a group of good men and women that eventually justice prevailed and the second part of that battle was won.
